Bachelor's Brew Party

John's Bachelor Brew Party will be held Wednesday August 31st, at Brew it Up! in downtown Sacramento. The fun will begin at 6:30. John and Annie thought it would be a great idea to brew and bottle a batch of beer to be shared with all of their guests as wedding favors. "We thought it would be neat to do something to incorporate craft beer into the wedding itself. What better way than to do it with beer we made ourselves?" quips John. He has even secured special bottles and labels for the brew.

The idea to combine the brewing with a bachelor's party didn't come until later. Annie explains, "Believe it or not, we originally were going to have the girls get together and brew the beer. We had talked about the tradition of bride ale. That's where the word bridal comes from. The bride's family would brew ale and sell it to the wedding guests as a way to raise money for the newlyweds. But, the boys will probably enjoy this more than we would have."
